FCA publishes first Award giving relief to a business tenant under the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022
Stephanie Tozer QC determined that the Applicant tenant’s formal proposal was not consistent with the principles in section 15, but the Respondent landlord’s revised formal proposal was and therefore made an award in the terms of the Respondent landlord’s revised formal proposal. The tenant was required to pay 57% of the agreed protected rent debt, in instalments. Read more here.
